The first set of links is organized by the condition that the amulets were said to cure or the powers from which they were meant to protect the wearer. These subjects indicate the fears that the people of the time faced. From this list you can see that in this culture people feared both physical things, such as coughs, as well as mystical forces such as the "Evil Eye."

This second set of links is organized by the materials that were inside of the amulets and by those from which they were made. This list indentifies what materials the society found to be valuable and significant and also those that were common in the country. In most cases the valuable or powerful materials were place d inside of the amulets.
