CHICO's Music Heritage Network (MHN) welcomes you to a dynamic community of educators, musicians, students and anyone interested in multimedia use and cultural studies. MHN is committed to providing online multicultural resources designed for curriculum development. Currently, this site features sound, text and visual materials; although created with K-12 classes in mind, everyone can enjoy intriguing sights and sounds from around the world.
The beauty of online multimedia education is that the "textbook" and the "image" come to life. To transform MHN into a living community network, however, your active participation is needed. We welcome all educators interested in sharing your methods of teaching about culture and music in this forum. We encourage everyone to *contribute* to the collection by creating new documents about your local musical and cultural histories.
MHN's supporters include the School of Music at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor; Mariachi Cobre de Tucson, Los Planeros de 21, Ballet Folklorico de Stanford and most essentially, students and teachers from grade schools, high schools and universities across the globe.
Click back, enjoy the sights and sounds of this virtual space, and join in on the conversation.
